Inkitt novels. 1). Mar 22, 2024 · I like Inkitt because it seems to have more discoverability than Wattpad, and I see some familiar names on Galatea. I have 8/40 chapters (projected) currently written. Of course it's impossible to prove it, but the pattern of engagements makes my spidey programmey-sense tingle. When I google about things regarding the website, I see a bunch of blog posts about how the site is apparently shady and publishes books badly, but they seem to be from many years ago? Does anyone here know more about whether they are a safe space to continue writing online, or if the bad rep is still true to this day? They then decided to no longer publish to Amazon or other legit retailers, and to only publish on their app, Galatea, which is primarily geared for erotica. Inkitt has the same vibe to it as that system had, so it makes it hard for me to trust the numbers. May 5, 2024 · Inkitt has way less of a population than Wattpad but already you can see how different the two platforms are, Wattpad only cares about making money, but inkitt cares about their authors and making sure that their hard work is seen. Readers are easier to come by on Inkitt, who actually give you solid feedback on the progress of your stories. Publishing one chapter at a time and getting feedback is different from what I'm used to, but I like the engagement it allows.
